Early Childhood Development
Overview
Early Childhood Development (ECD) Department equips student teachers’ with skills and knowledge in the management of learners at ECD level, Nursery and Pre-schools. The Department endeavors to fill the demands of Education 5.0 and contribute to the government’s vision of achieving a upper middle class economy by 2030. ECD Department. The subjects covered include Theory of Early Childhood Development, Professional Studies Syllabus A and Professional syllabus B with pathways in Expressive Arts, Language Arts and Maths and Science done separately. The Department is manned by relevantly qualified personnel who are hardworking and committed to their duty.
Entry Qualifications
These are contained in the general regulations and requirements for the Diploma in Education at Masvingo Teachers’ College.
A certificate in Paraprofessional Training Course is an added advantage to join ECD.
