WELCOME TO THE LIBRARY
Welcome To The Masvingo Teachers College Library
The library has been divided into sections as follows:
CIRCULATION: This is where issuing and borrowing of library books and materials takes place.
SHORT LOAN/ RESERVE SECTION: This is where only overnight borrowing occurs. There is no self service
RESEARCH CENTRE: Library users use computers to access the internet.
PERIODICAL SECTION: Where magazines, past exam papers, projects and newspapers are found.
The library has been divided into sections as follows:
JUNIOR LIBRARY SECTION: Where books and reading material ideal for leaners in ECD to grade 7 is displayed.
BINDING/MINOR PROCESSING SECTION: Where minor book binding of torn books is done.
REFERENCE SECTION: This the area in which encyclopedias, atlases and dictionaries are kept.
SPECIAL SECTION: This area consists of government publications, theses and dissertations as well as students’ research projects. NB. Materials in this section are for library use only.
MEMBERSHIP
In order for one to be a member, he/she should have a valid student ID. Students’ IDs are issued to those students with fully paid up fees or registered college employee. Where books and reading material ideal for leaners in ECD to grade 7 is displayed. No college ID no entry into the library. Students from other colleges can have access upon provision of a valid college ID and National ID and they pay a search fee of 1usd per day.
ENCLOSURES: There are two enclosures, East and West where users can have discussions or have time to refresh and relax. Users are allowed to borrow books or materials they want to use during discussion.
Currently we provide services to 4500 library users having access to more than 10000 volumes of books in printed form.

We have a very rich catalog of books covering all areas of study involved in molding the model teacher. These vary from areas such as the Theory of Education, Science, Languages, Stem and even general books for reading to relax or just enrich your knowledge.
